    Toro
    Scag
    Exmark
    Ferris
    Lesco

Give me your most expensive & least expensive picks please.
Mainly concerned about parts after warranty, but fuel
consumption would be cool too...all have 23 or 25hp Kawi's

    hello,
liquid cooled more expensive =better resale =typically longer lasting engine

liquid cooled maintenance cost only slightly more =better reliability than air cooled, which require covers removed 4 debris clean out often

shaft drive pto expensive but reliable usually /// belt drive way cheaper ,quick and easy to fix

Most costs are offset usually in one way or another

eg step up from efi to diesel u would hope 4 a gain in reliability and longevity

higher hp is usually warranted by the additional productivity //capability gain

I can see where added technology costs more to maintain,
and costs more up front...hopefully paying off in fuel efficiency
and resale value. The underpowered machine guzzling gas also makes sense.

With all things being equal I would pick Toro & Lesco as the high and low
respectively in parts costs and maintenance costs.

If I took Lesco out of the equation, then who, would have the most/least
    expensive parts?

hello , the ztr which are standard configuration ,probaly not alot between them .[hydropumps ,motors 3x spindle deck and all belt drive ]
Look 4 a brand that is most common 4 spares will be available aftermarket also .Check the prices/availability online etc
Dealer should be within reasonable distance ,less than 1 hr drive
