At this point in March I bet alot of us are. This was our first week with cleanups. I have to tell you I am one sore guy right now. Main thing that hurts is the feet. Shoulders are sore but hey when you carry a backpack to do cleanups what do you expect. It actually hit 71 here today too. Anyway here is to a good year for all of us.

18 yards of mulch sounds painful. Mulching is next week. Working on getting yards and beds already for the mulch this week.

Next week for us. We have over 10 large clean ups to do, but still waiting for some damn commercial properties to make up their minds, one is a chain of fast food businesses totaling 9 properties. Landed a nice commercial account today, full service from spring through winter. Hell I still have to get the equipment out of storage:hammerhead: Its going to be one busy, busy week.:dancing:

This was the first year this happened, but I never really stopped...
Every year before this I always had at least a month solid break, if not two.

I went from aeration / grass-cutting to leaves, then leaves and leaves and more leaves... I did have about two weeks where there was absolutely nothing going on but that was all the break I got, ever since about mid-february things have been slow but steady and I'm out giving estimates and doing work... 20-odd yards of mulch have gone out, several loads of debris have gone to the landfill, some topsoil got put out, aeration and lime and seed is hot right now... I've turned anything down I didn't even feel like doing, and still it's one right after the other. Haven't even got to call all of last year's customers yet, but that's next on the list.

Local taxes and business license got filed a month late, I got my tags for the plates also a month late but never got pulled over, I'm at double the usual income for this time of year, all the fuel tanks are empty and couple of machines are still running on spring 2005's maintenance if that gives a clue... And the spring rush starts next week or thereabouts, LOL !

Got aeration tomorrow, HAVE to get the older mower in shape, then Saturday is mulch and hopefully it rains so I can aerate the commercial contract sunday, too.

I'm loving it, wishing you guys an exxxtremely busy season, too !

Yep calling for storms here on Friday. Hopefully the morning won't be a wash out. Would like to get out and get a small commercial property beds cleaned up.

I've done a few clean ups and cut my first this week. Before I got on line I got another call goes something like this "this is Mr so and so, how are you doing, just wondering if you will be out cutting Sat?" Of course I reply with, Yes Sir. I sent letters out letting them know I would be starting first week of April. Any ways, it makes me feel good to get customers calling to make sure I will be cutting their place this year. I started in the biz last July.

    Sorry to ramble on..
