I currently have 2 Exmark Lazer Z HP's and am looking to sell one and step up to a 60 inch UltraCut deck. I know there is a ton of talk on this forum about which manufacturer cuts different grasses better. Well, I primarily mow Kentucky Blue Grass and I want to know how the Exmark Lazer Z with 27 Horse Kohler with 60 inch deck mows this type of grass??? Also, when grass is thick in the spring time, how does the UltraCut do on thick grass cutting 3 inches of growth?

Any feedback would be great. Also, if you want to buy a 52 inch Lazer Z HP with 23 Kaw let me know.

    Thank you.

Mine does a great job. The only time you should ever have trouble is when its very damp, you may have to scrape the deck sometimes. This is true of most decks that cycle grass into smaller clippings. The deck has lot's of lift for blue grass, fescue, etc.

By contrast the Scag Velocity and John Deere 7 Iron II will leave longer clippings but will not need scraping.

It's kind of a trade off.
