The guard or shield on there wacker?
Never seen a good reason to remove them
You cant trim with the back side of the head. (reaching around something like a small tree or pole)
I said GOOD reason
I stopped using a condom after I got married
First thing I do with a new trimmer is remove the guard before I start it the first time.
i keep them on.
I remove all guards before we use them. More productive. I also take the screens out of the equipment.
I will remove mine if it will actually make it more productive like taking it off in a ditch or someting but otherwise it stays on.
Took the guards off and replaced them with EDGITs
