I'm new to lighting so I'm trying to find some quality lights to use in a project. I'm trying to find some "Hammered mushroom" style path lights for about $30-$40 a pop. I know you get what you pay for, but some lights are just way to high and are not the high quality that they claim or customer service sucks. Any ideas would be appreciated. You can PM if you don't want to post here.

Has anyone used "Affordable quality lighting"?

There are a huge number of quality manufacturers out there, offering a vast array of quality fixtures. Unfortunately, the price point you are looking for is typically representative of retail level, DIY quality product.

You do get what you pay for. If you are looking for professional grade, quality fixtures and components you are simply going to have to increase your budget.

Would you put a value level pump into one of your ponds or waterfalls?

Depends on the budget since they all last about the same time.

I found some nice Kichler lights for the price I stated so I'm just searching for more options.

I saw some nice light at the Home Depot today. I think they were around $30. Try that.

Thanks, but I'll stay away from the Malibu stuff. Since I'm new to the lighting I'm just asking qusetions.

I'd go with the Kichler then. I haven't seen anything in that price range outside of HD and Lowes.

Keith, look at focus or fx lighting(Jd Landscapes)(or Lesco carries these). they will have something closer to 50-60 dollar range tho. and if all else fails check the Cascade lighting link at the bottom of the page. Linda is very knowledgable.

Not mushroom (generally more expensive in my area), but if you have a local ewing around you check on the FX copper tulip or Hadco Horizon path light. They are pretty generic (personally I like generic path lights) but the price is right around your asking range.

Thanks, finally some descent answers and not some smartass go to HD remarks.:hammerhead:

I know who the major players are, but don't know if there is a new/smaller company that is hungry to get thier name out.
