i would think with a pre-emerg you would want alittle more water as a carrier. i have seen demension 2ew recommend 1 gal of water per 1000 sq ft. i'm sure you could use low volume and irrigate after.
i love people who ask someone for their opinion and when it isn't what they want here, it has to be wrong.
where i'm at most golf courses that use a gran. pre-m will use a mini-prill has it will get better coverage ( more granulars per 1000 sq ft).

    just my opinion

same deal with the perma green magnum...can't spray fungicide out of it either because of the ULV characteristics....forced to use granular.

I run a Mag but only put down pre-s through the hopper not the tank.
I would never think about running a liquid pre through the sprayer, not enough volume.

Ok guys i understand the needing to water it in... so if you have a 10,000 sq. feet yard and you spray 30 gallons with your pre-emergent. Is that really watering in? I guess it could be but it doesnt seem like it... seems like to water in the pre-emergents you need either the homeowners help or god's help. could be wrong again im just learning but i stopped by to a fellows warehouse close to me and he and his partner gave me some great advice and this is what they said. keepem coming. thanks for all the responses

Seeing as though a ULV sprayer is only using 3 gallons for that 10K, 30gal is a LOT more carrier to penetrate the canopy.

It's not that the water needs to "water it in".....it needs to carry it to the dirt.

You do need to "water in" granular pre though.
