Why are hydro mowers superior?
If you are talking about wb's then there are several reasons. First, a hydro mower is far more manuverable than a gear drive since you can go from forward to reverse without having to switch gears. Second, it actually has a reverse where as some gear driven units only have a "reverse assist". Also, there is no chance of having a belt slip when working in wet conditions. I'm sure there are some more reasons, but thats all I feel like thinking about right now.
Saves the knees too.
Hydros aren't. All gear drives are.
DD hydro's are superior the SD hydro is a joke in comparison!
