Why Red?

    why do half or more of the different mower brands use red for their mowers?

    it looks cool. and when dirt and grass gets on it, it doesn't look as bad say like if you used white your yellow. the dirt really shows on yellow.

    Maybe Toro and Exmarks are red because they are owned by the same company. How many are red, Gravely, Snapper, Ferris, any more?

    The color red stands for power. It's powerful, exudes confidence and action, and it stands out.

    The older MTD's were red/gray

    Because TORO in Spanish means Bull, and in a bullfight, the matador uses a RED cape.

    That is why the Toro is red.

    And all the rest are copycats.

    Thou I like 1MajorTom's explanation, too...
    Red is HOT.
