Why so few standers?

I like the concept of the Wright but have never used one. Most people praise them. Why don't I see them? Companies around MD/VA that are doing a lot of commercial stuff and residential are running Exmark mostly. Are they really not that much more productive vs Wright's claims?

Lets just stick to production facts please. Not how much we enjoy running the machine etc.

I would think, logically, that if these mowers are even 10% more productive than a zero turn or walk behind that, larger companies in particular, would be snatching them up. 10% is a lot of money vs the 30-40% claims that they boasted at the MANTS show today.

Probably a lot of big companies who have a lot of commercial properties get the walk behinds due to all of the different types of grades, curb jumping, etc.

I own both types, I really haven't ever noticed any difference in production between the two. If I had to do a large apartment complex with a lot of steep and/or curvy hills, or around large ponds or whatever, I would use my WB. Hope this helps a little.

I'm on the fence.........well, a little fence......about getting a used one to try out. I just feel that if I've got a 48" wb and a 52-60" zero turn, I'm pretty darn well covered.

There is no way a stander could be even close to as productive as a ztr. Last summer I had a Exmark TTHP wb, Exmark lazer z, and a Toro Grandstand. I just replaced the Grandstand with another lazer z.

I was just thinking of a stander vs wb(with velke) of the same size. Those are pretty equal IMO.

On a smaller yard I would rather have my tthp but on a larger yard I would not use either. The stander just isnt for me.
