I saw one today in action that's got to be the coolest mower I ever saw. The guy let me use it a bit, wow. Great machine. No longer made?

They never patented the machine. They didn't think there was anything novel or special about it. Then Wright came out with the Stander. Hustler offered to pay a royalty or license the technology from Wright to continue producing the Shortcut but Wright wouldn't talk with them. They chose to stop making the mower rather than redesign the machine like Great Dane did.

You mean the machine that you stradled like a motorcycle? I seen 2 of them in my area a few years ago. Looked really uncomfortable to me. They stopped making them because they didnt sell.
