I planted smartseed Justice fescue this spring, and it's doing very well in the Tennessee heat. I think it looks very good, and would like to keep it this way. I have hear people say you need to reseed every year? Is this correct? How much, and when................why?

Maybe not every year, but it would look its best if every year. Fescue does not spread so it wont "fill in" like other grasses (bermuda, centipede, zoysia).

You should only need to reseed areas that die off.

For best results re seed each year. Fall is better to me.

I was informed that justice fescue does spread, but I am not sure at what rate (slow or fast), I would assume nothing spreads like warm season grasses so therfore you may still have to reseed.
