Hey guys, i just ordered a 7x18ft. enclosed trailer today to put my ztr mower in. The problem is i only have a 2000 4wd 1500 Silverado with the 4.8ltr motor in it. It does have the big 4.10 rear end in it though. The guy said i wont be king of the road but it should pull ok. Anyone pull anything similar? Thanks

I don't think he could of put it any better.

You will for sure feel it behind you, won't be making any land speed records especially uphill, but it'll get the job done.

One of my trucks is a 99 1500. I pull a 7x16 enclosed HD trailer. Mine has the 5.3 motor with 3:73 gears. It gets the job done, with 2 ztrs and other odds and ends in the trailer. There is better choices but you will do fine.

It will get you there, be sure to include the cost ( hourly) of a new truck in your estimates and bank the money. In a couple of years you will have a nice down payment.
