I found a f650 extended cab for sale. Truck has a cat engine with 190hp. Allison auto. 14' aluminum dump with fold down sides.

Under CDL. Will it be underpowered?

From reading those specs I would say yes. What's the gvw, how many gear auto, and rear axle ratio? My Kodiak(13' contractors box) has the 3116 high torque but is listed at 250 horse and it is an animal. The 3126 is spendy to replace stuff...

I have a 300hp Cat with 6 speed manual in my reg cab f650 with 14' bodys and can say I wouldn't want a smaller motor. Espically with it being an auto transmission more power would be better.

If its the one on craigslist down below us then yea I would say its not a powerful truck, checked it out. Its got some power behind it dont get me wrong, and its a very nice truck but for what I imagine you will be doing with it, yes its probably going to be a little underpowered. Makes for a great mulch or planting crew truck but not really for stone and towing equipment.

Nice looking truck though and a great price.

My f650 has 5.9 Cummins and is only rated at 210hp, and it gets the job done, but I sure wouldn't complain about a few more ponies. Cummins can up the power w/different programming, but only up to 230hp and they wanted $1k to do it! Mine also has the allison auto, but 14' steel body.
