I have a residential property that wants winter overseeding. I had planned on doing it sometime in late February. With this mild winter, is this still a good idea? I'm worried that the seed will germinate to early with all of this warm weather. Also though, I'm not sure we're going to get all the freeze thaw action that it needs. Mostly, we've gotten a lot of rain, and that's about it. When would you do the job?

I would only do winter overseeding in the Spring.:)

No. And if it does germinate early and should it then get cold, you're screwed.

typically in late feb, but if it does not cool off and stay cool than I would forget about it until spring.
