I have a customer that called me tonight and wanted to know if I could put something down on his bermuda lawn to keep winter rye from coming up this fall and winter. I told him that I would be putting a pre emerg down in November, but he wants to make sure he doesn't have to mow rye this winter. Any suggestions?

Where would the rye come from? Doesn't it die out from the heat in Texas? Maybe he is talking about some other grass--like poa.
