With 2-3' of snow coming to New England

    8 pages is too much as I rest up to plow, but your picture is gone. And by me all the downspouts are frozen solid, regardless of what they are connected to. If the daylighted pipe freezes at the end, whats the point? are your pipes below the frost line? they can freeze too.

    I think the best option is letting it dump all over the patio and freeze into a sheet of ice.

    Why negatively comment on something that you just boasted you haven't read?

    It's an informative thread. Not derived from theory. But from the the field :).

    Ok i read it. I agree there are better options, but even you agreed there are places where they must be used.
    No one addresses normal ice damming or downspouts freezing. Is it now our job to prevent that too?

    FYI i prefer drywells myself.
