WM Weather sensor failed!

    After being clobbered by a softball size hail.

    Long time client called needing a price for a replacement.

    Wireless unit, full retail price and 1 hour labor...

    Yup, I heard about the hail out there. 2 billion dollars worth of claims in the first 36 hours after the hail storm from what I saw on local news.
    How'd you fair with the storms?

    $250. I did one for $200 last week and i should Have charged 250 per my tech recommendation.

    Likely the largest stones I have ever seen at this home but we got off easy with walnut sized stones where as this guy and others just miles away got softball / grape fruit sized.

    That is two bad hail storms this year.

    according to ewing the unit is more than $250 retail. IIRCC Retail for the wireless unit is 385.00

    Oh wow. Definately charge retail. I am used to installing rainbird wireless sensors. I need to check on retail price for rainbird, i might need to up my price.

    This is the ET controller. The wireless sensor is very high but on retros without a sensor install, the client saves money on the labor to run the wire.

    Also to be fair the clients is getting a new roof and several other things.

    Wow, those are pricy. We've only installed Hunter & Rainbird wireless. My price was based on those.

    You mean it didn't fail on it's own? It took a piece of hail to take it out? Damn, you get all the good ones. :dizzy:
