Does anyone know if woodchips are sprayed with any sort of chemical to make sure that termites don't set up shop on them?

termites love wood chips. that is why you dont use them as mulch. although there is some zylem in mulch its just not as much. the use of proper mulch will greatly reduce the chances of termites.

termites will only move about 300 feet from their location. and mulch is the last thing they want to consume. although it it is all they have left they will consume it.
