First thing that comes to mind is " who else in the aera saw me do this...the old laby that sit at the window, or the driver passing on the street.

    THE LIST:
Things i want a customer or the general public to see:
putting on a new set of blades
    checking the equipt
    getting organzied
bending down to pick up a peice of debris
taking a second look and re touch up somthing
    waving too all
    smiling at all times
    writing notes
    talking to another lawn compay
and anything elses that when you look my way all you think
    is PROFESSIONAL.
AND I AM SURE THIRS A WHOLE LOT MORE

Things i want NO ONE TO SEE
Anything that cast a shadow on my integretiy.

just my own thoughts at work here

How about charging just a little less than the original quote for something like a one time deal such as a cleanup or something. This one only if you feel you made out well. Another is perhaps dumping and refilling the dog's water dish when you are finished. Good thread!

If you do get by work and have to be prodded
by customer your an hourly wage earner
    working under his supervision.
If you do your best work all the time.
You are a professional and working to your
    own standard.

We always blow off neighbors driveway that are cutting their own yard. Most try to sweep off with brooms. It sure makes them happy!

Check and adjust your air pressure in your tires. Mine always leak down anyway so I have to do it routinely.

Hey Homer, when doing all that on the list when do you find time to work? haha just kidding. You are correct. Go the extra mile, even if sometimes it just appearance. I hate it when someone finishes and just parks their butt at the trailer.

I have one rule concerning sitting around. If i am then they can be too. Otherwise, be doing something. If that is a problem, then they can start spending the extra time off looking for a new job!

BRUSHMASTER you made some very good points in your list. Its is going the extra mile that will keep the customer happy and us as a proffesion respected. Im pretty sure your list will continue to grow over the next few days.
