I'm going to be totally redoing the landscaping at my house this spring and I'm stumped. My property is completely flat so it's hard to get creative and still keep a somewhat natural look to it all. I'm not about squared off, symetrical cheap looking landscape, I like large swoopy outlines, rock, variety in plants, I don't want to say natural but that somewhat fits what I like.

What do you all do to make a flat property work? I'll post pictures tomorrow of the yard so you can see and maybe give suggetions. I really want to incorperate a retaining wall somewhere but it wouldn't work. I also am not a fan of just tossing a mounded bed out in the middle of the yard, it would look out of place to me, so I'm at a stand still.
