ok, so I'm stressed out to the max right now. Yesterday I had to get two large properties cut before the weekend (rained out thursday). Because of the rain and fog yesterday, we had to cut while the grass was wet, and it was LOOONNGG!. Mostly because they've been running their irrigaton systems for 30-45 mins per zone which did a nice job during our hot July. Had some rain, cooler temps, grass just exploded. So I cut the wet long grass, you know how that is. I made paste. Of course got home last night...complaints. Don't know what else I could have done. I can't lose these accounts or I'll have to close up shop.

Tell them, maybe in a slightly different version, what you posted. Its the truth, explains why it happened, and then assure them that it will never happen again.

I think that's my plan, we spend an extra 2 hrs blowing the turf to get the big turds broken up. This was the first time this year I just felt my hands were tied. Can't mow on Saturday and waiting until Monday was totally out of the question.

See?? You need to work on targeting areas that aren't irrigated. :D

The schools that I do, we've not mowed them for 2 weeks now, just did the trimming last week, now this week we'll mow, but not have to trim.

Same thing for most of my other areas.

    JTrice -

If you get large clumps, and I realize this'll take longer, but raise your deck up either all the way, or at least 1-2". Then go back over the areas in a diagonal from the first cut. It should spread the clumps all back out again.
