If it runs, it is certainly worth $1000.

The real question is, is it worth $1000 to you? I don't think that anybody besides yourself could answer that question.

These old trucks that are all mechanical are fairly simple.

That said if you aren't mechanically inclined I would be cautious.

I can see this failing about a million things on a DOT inspection....although I dont think you need USDOT inspections under 26k anymore.

The price is good. Too bad its not a dt466 or even dt360. The 444 is marginal at best but still leaps above a gas engine. Is this a turbo 7.3? We had a non turbo of this generation many many years back....it wouldnt get out of it's own way empty.

The DT466e engine makes me miss the old mechanical P-pump models. They just would go and go and go. And ask for nothing.

Buy it, but know when to call it quits. Don't put much into it, you'll never get it back out.

I sold a s1700 cab and chassis, dt360 turbo, ok shape, 1987 model with no bed this winter for $1400 or so. 5+2 trans. So the price is about right...

Been running around crazy trying to move shops. I was at my shop yesterday and the truck owner was working on his race car next door. He hollered over to me, when you guna come move this truck to your parking lot. So 2morrow hopefully we will get it moved into my shop area.

That truck should be quite helpful for your sandbagging business
