Local dealer let me try out their 630 shin.... Man , what power. I cleared the whole parking lot in no time. Now I need to see what the redmax 8 can do vs the shin 6.

Wolf, the Shin630 uses a Redmax engine, the same engine Redmax uses for their 7001.

The Redmax 8000 uses a larger engine, but it is a Strato Charged engine and actually uses </i>LESS </i> fuel than the 7001, while delivering more CFM of air!

In short, if you were impressed with the Shin 630 (and it's impressive), you'll be blown away with the Redmax 8000!

Tider. the shin 630 only weighs 19 lbs, the red 8 is another 5lbs. Will it wear you out thru a whole day of blowing.

The additional weight doesn't bother me, it's only for short periods of time that you wear it. The 8000 also distributes the weight very well, has a waist strap that really helps.

77090 is Houston, isn't it? Cypress? If you have some heavy leaf and pine needle areas, you'll get finished a little quicker with the more powerful tool, so less wearing time equals less fatigue, may even out.

Plus, I just luuv that power :) !

I agree with you totally I want a ligher unit NOT MORE WEIGHT!!! I got a 13HP Grasshopper walkbehind blower if you NEED that kind of power without breaking your back. This 13HP will blow away 2.5 Redmax8000 according to the advertisement.
