Maybe just my area but Scag promo's are really working. Great price on V-Ride while Toro/ Exmark & Wright keep (at least in my area) quoting ubsurd numbers. I knew as soon as someone priced Standons at a good price they'd explode. Good move Scag. I saw them everywhere last season and now it seems every LCO is buying one or two.

  2. They are prob selling more bc they are offering 20% off and 4 years no interest.

yeah hard to beat that deal they got going. i like the v-rides best anyways over the others. i'm not saying the others are bad but they do cost alot more. personally i wouldn't pay the same price for a stander as i can pay for a sit down ztr. that's just me though.

Between the price point and quality of cut would be why they are gaining market share. Even the tt and cheetah are at a decent price point.

Exactly. I got a crazy deal on a used Grandstand last year. But I would of never bought a new one at the price point Toro was at. With the promos offered by Scag I cant blame anyone for choosing the V ride over the other brands. After visiting a few Toro dealers with cash in hand I knew Toro has priced themselves out of an acceptable range for some people.

I think some waited for the bugs to get worked out before buying. Others getting on board from word of mouth.

I think scag has been know for the higher prices which were not always correct. With them offering these promo's people are realizing they can afford a high quality Scag mower, which in the past they couldn't.

Over the past two years we have purchased three new v rides. The bummer part of it is I can buy new ones now for less than I paid last year, and that was at fleet pricing. Oh well may have to do it again. Good luck to all.

I'm not really in the market for new mowers, so I haven't looked at prices lately.

How much are the scags going for?

Around 7K for the vride's, alittle more or less depending on size.

    Around 10K for Cheetah's or TT's (35Briggs).
