I had one of my machines come back friday with broken bolts that hold on the hydro and the wheel drive unit. There are 4 bolts behind the plate that holds on the tire. These 4 bolts hold the drive unit in place well 3 are snapped. I know that i have to tap them out. But please someone PLEASE tell me how on gods green earth to get the wheel hub off so I can get to the motor unit thanks......

Remove the hub center nut/bolt and use a puller as below, Some can be a real pain after being on a while.

If the wrong style puller is used one could damage a motor, That's why I went to the trouble posting a pic of a proper puller to use.

Really should use one like this with a 4th leg

We just got a really nice one from Toro through SPX that is a bit simpler. It is setup for the 4 bolt pattern that most of these mowers use. Its basically a hub with a screw through the center. Should be quicker and easier than the one I posted above but you probably wont find one of them too easily.
