I am looking to purchase a 36'' stander and a 48-54'' stander here in the next couple of weeks.

Obviously with the 36 I am pretty much limited to Wright, however on the larger one I am curious to how much of a difference it makes having the fixed deck on the wright versus the floating deck on the john deere since the frames are typically pretty short front to back.

Most of my yards have uneven spots, but not many have just durastically uneven turf, jsut bumps here and there or raised or low spots, but nothing too too bad. On my walkbehinds I would say I have to have a floating deck (however the frames are much longer), but since I see so many people using the wrights I was curious how well they do despite the fact that they are not floating.

I have a 52" Stander and have had zero problems with scalping ( if that is the concern), as far an needing a floating deck I have never owned one and never felt like I needed it....
