I am thinking about investing in a stander mower 52", and was wondering what the differences might be between Wright and Great Dane. I presently have a Scag 52" hydro which I like. However it is getting old and in need of repair. I hear lots of good things about standers. I have about 2 acres with a lot of trees and berms to go around. Thanks Dave.:blob3: I thought the blob was cool!!

If you like your scag, you will like the stander. Since they both have a rounded trim side. (the protoytpe stander was built from an old scag hydro)

I would get the stander, its built much heavier, more compact, can handle hills better, better customer service, etc. Wright was the first to come up with the idea. Great Dane stole the idea.

If you get the 52" get it with the 23 kawi. Mine are 52" w/17 hp kawi, which bog down in tall wet grass.

I love mine. I have two, plan to buy another one next year.

Dafan I can't comment on a wright stander, but they look ok, Ido however love my 52"/22hp Super surfer, it works great!!
