when do you start advertising, do you sell the lights to the homeowner or you rent them?
is it worth it the christmas thing?
Start selling in July/August or you may have slim picking's with some suppliers. You buy the stock and resell, buy your basic items, 1000 ft spools, connectors, blubs, wreaths, mini's etc. But this is not an easy business.... Dont be fooled into thinking it all a goldmine. It is a tuff buck, but once you get it going it's a good buck, but it will take a good three seasons to get a grip on it. Continue to do your research.. If Possible go work for a firm out of your area for a season. Also get and give discounts for folks who let you put the lights up for Halloween. Big Calls will result in doing that. Again tuff buck though.
