Has anyone ever heard of a mower called Xmart (its definitely not Exmark)

He's got it listed and you can see the label as an Xmart Ranger 36"

    Thanx

That thing is ancient. Probably 30 years old? Early 80's. The motor looks pretty new and would be worth $250 if you had something else to put it on... Otherwise the machine is a rehab, painted up to look pretty, but is it a polished turd? probably...

polished turb maybe, but its a basic belt driven WB mower. if there is no rust or major mechanical issues It should provide many more years of use. The issue woudl be parts. As things break down you will need to do some legwork or update the parts with new ones. IE if a spindle goes out, if you can't find a stock spindle you'll need to find one that's currently made that fits. same thing with belts.

The one potential thing I see on this machine is NO SAFETY switches. As the older units rarely had them. Which means Be careful...

    Thanx guys

Just looking for a smaller deck to get in some of my gates instead of using my Cub cadet self propelled push mower.

for a backup mower for the gates I think it would be a winner...

go see it, start it up run it, let run for about 15-20 minutes jack the tires off the ground and let them run in gear and see if starts pushing any oil out...

Maybe thats where Exmark got the idea for their name? X-MART= EX-MARK??? but highly doubtful! That just sounds like a mower they would sell at Wal-mart for $999. and would have one of those "industrial" engines, and maybe plastic front castor wheels!!!

that may well be worth it for the price, especially if you dont use it a whole lot
