I am going to buy a ZTR tomorrow!!! I have narrowed it down to three.
I live in a rural area that does not have an exmark or hustler dealer nearby .(<60 miles)

I am using the mower for residential use only. (approx 3-4 acres)

    Yazoo/kee MidMax - 23 Kaw / 52" $5999
Very organized and knowledgeable dealer. approx 30 miles to dealership.

    Simplicity/ Colt Independant suspension - 23 HP Kohler / 52" $6100
Demo that sat outside (slight surface rust). Dealer going out of buisness.

Scag - Tiger Cub - 19 Kaw / 48" $5799 Small dealer, parts dept. looks good, service dept was a mess. Very, very busy. 3 employees total. Very nice people but could not get a feel for the buisness. 15 miles away

I would like some opinions/knowledge from the board members.

    Thank you,

I'd add 300 to the pot and get a Yazoo/kees mid max with a 61 inch deck. The price you have been quoted on th 52 is good though.

Do you have a Great Dane dealer in your area??

Awesome machines backed by John Deere and a full 2 year commercial warranty. $500 factory rebates as well.

    Where in Ohio are you??

    Scag would be my choice.

Just bought a scag tiger cub this year, Ive had it 2 weeks and have almost 30 hours on it now and I love it. I dont have any experience with the other 2 brands. If the simplicity dealer is going out of buisness I might not choose that mower because of getting parts and service, hope this helps you some

I have demoed all three of these machines, and I personally would go with the Yazoo. It has a much better cut quality! Also a much faster machine! I know they rate it to run 10mph just like the rest of them but the one I drove and this includes a 61" machine was just plain faster in transport and mowing! Buy the way that is what they are selling for here as well!

Yazoo's are well made machines. They would be first choice. Second would be Scag. Wouldn't even consider Simplicity.
