I am looking for something that will kill yellow foxtail. We have a newly sodded lawn (2 months old) and the yellow foxtail is taking over! Is there anything we can buy that will take care of the foxtail now but not kill the new grass in the summer heat? Should we just wait till fall or spring and apply something?

Thank you for any advice you can give!

No prob dude --- I don't know of any post-emergent product that knocks out foxtail after it emerges. Next spring, you may want to make two "pre-emergent" applications if you have a bad foxtail prob. For the rest of this year, just mow alot to keep it knocked down, then wait for a killing frost.

Just tell your neighbors you're testing different weed control products to see which one is best. LOL:laugh:
