In the spring time in my area I get a pretty good demand for repairing spots in the lawn not needing to be re-sodded but plugged. (Residentials primarily St. Augustine/Centipede) Anyone have info. on who carries those pluggers that you remove the soil core about 3" x 3" square and then pop in a new turf plug. The one that I'm looking for has the thumb mechanism that makes it easy to pop out the soil core, instead of banging it on your boot,ground,helper,etc... to get the now compacted soil core out. I've used one before but all that I can find is the cheapo ones at the retail chains. I've even tried some local specialty lawn and garden shops. Who makes/has these things?

    Much obliged Sir!

  2. A 4" round bulb planter AM Lenord.

All I can think of as far as places off hand.

What you do is pull lots of plugs then go back and pick em up and place where you want.

    Makes good aeration too.

My father did this to spread the Zoysia in the back lawn.
