I was just wondering how many of you actually advertise this type of service. I was thinking about getting a leaf vac this year and thought this might be a easy way to make some cash.

I will be using a 6x10 dump trailer. I will be building a box if I do this. Probably 4 foot walls???

What would you charge for something like this??

Sounds like a good idea. Around here, there are many many companies with that slogan "You rake them, We take them". It catches on real fast. Some streets actually get together, rake all there leaves into the street and then hire a company with a leaf vac to suck em up!! payup

    Good Luck!

i would go with higher than 4' walls. i have mine in my dump truck and a can stand up inside it i think at the center it is 6'6"-7'. leaves have no weight you want to get as much in as youcan without having to dump.

I was thinking 4' walls on top of the dump trailer. I guess that would make it about 6' with the sides. Do you think that would be enough or should I stand the plywood on end making it about a 10' box???

nope. As a home owner in town you can dump your leaves at the landfill, but you gotta bring them there.

that really blows we just rake them to the street and the town or village picks them up. they even take small branches.

I am going to look at a 16hp little wonder leaf loader. They are asking 2200 but they said they would be willing to lower the price. I'm thinking it will go for 2K. Does this sound like a good deal. Anyone have any input on this machine???

We just bought a Billygoat loader and we are advertising that in the next few weeks, hopefully it works out. BTW, what's an average rate, I was thinking 2.00/minute and a 10-20.00 dumping fee. Too high? Too low what do ya think?
