My local garden center wants to sell me 2 pallets (roughly 220 bags) of "Lawn Food" 29-0-4 for $2.50 per bag. (16lb bags) Says everyone wants the "weed and feed" type stuff from Scotts and it is a slow seller, so they want it gone.

Manufctured by Free Flow Fertilizer and it comes from Maumee, OH. It is a trademark of Anderson Agriservices.

I realize it is a lot of little bags, but is it a Good buy? Or pass?

The price sure seems right. That would be about $8/50lb. I'd want to see a shipping invoice and see how old it is and I'd open a couple bags and make sure it isn't all clumped up. What conditions was it stored in?

Stored in a semi trailer that is used for storage now. It is dry in there. I checked a couple bags and they weren't clumped up or anything...
It is about 2-3 years old.

Is it in 20 pound bags? Its is a sweet deal--I calculate it at equal to $6.25 per 50 pound bag.
What store? Maybe they have some in other towns.

16lb bags so it figures closer to $8/bag. They only have the 220 or so, not any more. But hey I'll sell you some! Lol...
I know it was a good deal, I just wasn't sure of its quality as I stick to lesco usually. I just haven't been exposed to a wide range of products.

Yeah make sure the quality of the product is there, then buy it up.
