your oppinnion appreciated

    going to rip out 600sqft of grass, bring in 4yds top soil, fert, lime and lay sod. Looks like close to 24 man hours worth of work. I am thinking $21OO. what to you guys think?

    What are you ripping the grass out with? A Sod Cutter or by pitch fork?

    Seth, I just did a similar job. It was only 450 sqft, but I brought in 6 yds of topsoil cuz I removed a bunch of junk soil. Took me about 10 hours by myself, and I got $900 for the job. I used a roto-tiller to loosen all the old stuff and shoveled it into wheelbarrows which were dumped on site. Hope this helps a little.

    thanks zach.....was that 900 for whole job or your cut?

    $900 was the whole job. I pocketed $650 for 10 hours worth of work. $65 an hour is pretty good for me.
