I'm looking at a Ferris 1000z with <200 hours. Owner just replaced the intake manifold beacuse a bolt broke while mowing. Apparently, the rider hit a rock or something. It looks clean for an '02 and ran fine. The sell price is $4,000 firm.

    Should I pass on this?

Thanks for your response. I was just concerned about the manifold repair. I never heard of that happening and was concerned about future issues.

Tough call. You can buy a new IS-1500 for around $5500 and you get the suspension and a full warranty.
