Zero Turning on Asphalt OK?

Since my lawn abuts my asphalt driveway, is it OK to make my Mini Fastrak 36" do its zero turning with the tires on the asphalt portion? I was wondering if the Hydro-gear EZT is tough enough to take the additional strain. The problem is no matter how careful I am, the tires always make a small divot at the edge of the lawn as they twist around to make a zero turn. Making the rear wheels climb the asphalt surface before making the turn would solve the problem. Alternatively, I'm thinking of adding tire chains to improve its traction on the steeper slopes, and was wondering if the hydro can handle this as well.

    Turning on asphalt is fine.
Tire chains would be fine also, but I would be concerned about tearing up the lawn.
