I live in the Mid-west and have full sun shine and heat during the summer months.

I plan on laying Zoisa Sod in my backyard only, where I cannot get fescue to take and grow.

I have laid sod before, and have a general idea and education on how to lay it and take care of it. Problem is, I have never laid Zoisa before.

I am getting conflicting reports as to how to lay it. Do I leave spaces in between each piece, and if so how much of a space?

    Thanks!

You lay the Zoysia sod just like any other sod, no gaps, Zoysia is a very slow growing sod and it would take a good while to fill in. What type Zoysia are you going to use?

Not sure what type I will use, it depends on who actually sells Zoisa Sod around St. Louis.

There are quite a few turf dealers, but not all sell Zoisa.
