Zoning laws and "legitimacy"

I'm not trying to pick a fight. Some posters on here are always boasting how legitimate they are. With ALL the laws around, I believe no one is totally legit, whether they know it or not. I recently learned that my town considers lawn services and landscaping as a non permitted use. I, fortunately, am "grandfathered". Let's talk about use-variances. Who has one? Who needs one? Who lives in a town that would actually have such a law?;)

As best as I know I am as legit as it comes. You are correct there are a lot of laws.

We have to report new hires to the AG so if they own child support. Sales Tax, With-holdings and SUTA/FUTA. It is close to a full time job just to keep up with all the agencies involved.

If you are into Irrigation in TX you have to take a 40 hour class with a pretty hard exam given by the county extension office.

Then I have a floral licenses, and a pest control licenses. All those licenses require CEU as well.

plus carry Workers Comp and GL insurance.

I know it is hard to be competitive and be 100% legit.
