To make a long story short, I just inherited a couple lawns with Zoysia grass that has been severely neglected. Every weed that grows in Florida is mixed in and some dead patches, but some large areas are still salvageable in my opinion. I don't have a lot of experience dealing with Zoysia, so I'm wondering if any of you can help me out. What are some Zoysia friendly herbicides that you would recommend for the Florida climate? What steps would you take to try and rebuild these neglected yards? Fertilizer apps, herbicide applications, irrigation increase/decrease, mowing heights? (when, how much, etc.) This is in an area with extremely sandy soil as it is next to the beach. Thanks for any input!
