In my area of Florida which is northern my lawns using a ZTR on them seem to be getting thin and the weeds are taking over do other people have problems with a ZTR thinning their lawns out? in their areas?

Nobody has problems with ZTR's tearing and thinning the turf?

Here are the things you need to consider. Turf in shade will not be as vigorous as that which receives direct sunlight in most cases. Keep in mind all grass needs some sunlight. Is the grass variety somewhat shade tolerant? The zero turn itself is not causing the problem but perhaps the way the operator is going about it. Things such as turning tight or zero turning(spinning on the inside tire to turn around) will wear out spots even on healthy turf.

    Here are some suggestions:
Mow the grass in these areas higher than normal. Even skip mowing these areas compared to the sunny areas of the lawn.
Tread carefully with the mower(see above).
Address the basic things, water, fertilization.
The weeds need to be handled by someone trained and licensed in that field.
