I'm new here - if there is a better place to post this, please redirect me.

I'm in need of a new rider - replacing a 20hp/50 inch. Considering a ZTR with about the same size deck, but need to be able to pull a lawn vac - I have a AgriFab tow behind lawn vac with an 8hp engine - it can get heavy with a full load. Do any of you use a leaf vac behind a ZTR rider? Do you front weight the rider?

Also, any opinions on Swisher ZTR riders? Thanks.

I use a Brinly vac behind my Dixie. You don't even know it's there even when it's full. The most advanced hydro system in the industry and 28 EFI Kohler horsepower will do that for you. No weights required.

I've never used a Swisher but they seem to be more of a homeowner type mower. Top speed is a very slow 6 MPH.

I use an Ex-Mark 27hp with 60" deck and I pull a Trak Vak 860 with a 9hp engine and it holds 40 bushels of compacted shredded leaves. I can not tell when I am pulling it full except when pulling up a hill. I have also pulled it with a Toro with a 23hp engine and it seemed to dog a little when it was getting full.
