I have a Scag Tiger Cub and when I am reversing, the right-hand control is a lot harder to pull back than the left. I hate to have to give a real yank because that will more likely dig the turf. The groundspeed is the same for both sides going forward or reverse, so I don't think anything is out of adjustment. Hydraulic problem or mechanical?

It might just be in the piston cylinder that is used for the cushioning dampener.

Yes or the dampener is pinching up at the mounting points.
