I'm a new ZTR owner (Scag Tiger Cub) and would like some hints on how to turn w/out damaging turf!! I figured there must be a certain way to turn that most of you have figured out already!!

We got 1" of rain this morning!!!!

Do a Search for "three and turn" which you will find lots for the 3 point turn method.

...which is not the reason for owning a ZTR. Practice and learn the true zero turn, if not, sell your mower and get a craftsman. lol

Always remember to keep your tires moving; When turning around, as your one tire is swinging around, make the other tire go backward, slowly at first to get used to it. Example: Zero turn to the left: As your right side tires are swinging around to the left, pull your stick back just enough to get the left side tire rolling backward. This will minimize turf damage, and keep your production up at the same time. This is what ZTR's are for, thus the Zero Turn name.

    Hope this helps.
