Whats the opinions on pulling a broadcast spreader on my NEW Z453 Toro with the attatched tow hitch. Any advice or tips , do you contractors use spreaders & such attatchments on the ZTR's ??

I do this all the time and never had any problems. Blow your mower off so the chemicials dont eat the mower!

i guess it would be ok in open areas but i can't see how effective it would be in tight parts of the lawn to get a even coverage. i've never done it or even thought about doing it that way. i just use my lesco spreader and push, push, push.....

Yes I use to push, push push too, Now I have a 2 year old who I need to spend time with & 2 acres. Just thought that I can still use my broadcastor with the New ZTR, I use to have a ride on JD tractor. Is there different drop type attatchments for a ZTR ???

I made a hitch with angle iron and rigged up a long bar to open and close the spreader. When I did it I thought "I should have done this years ago"
