Wow you english is really improving over last 3-4 days!

Hey guys,

There was a pretty long thread on this very topic a while back. Perhaps over the winter? I forget. There were some excellent comments and suggestions that many could benefit from, especially in the long run!

Most of you on this thread have definitely got the right idea - protect your lungs from the detrimental effects of the long, and short, term exposure to dust!

I decided to try them since I'm looking for a mask that will fit better than the non vented type. But, if you use the jamestown site they are near $3 each bought by the box. They say "we only charge our true shipping costs plus $2.50"

They charged me $9.41 to ship 10 paper masks!

If you want these masks buy them from another site. Just do a search for "3m 8511" or "3m 9211" and there are plenty of honest sites.
Check out Enviro Safety Products on the net. They are local to me so I have never needed shipping but I think they are reasonable and they have competitive pricing. They have a large assortment of safety products including a variety of Peltor hearing protectors, gloves, safety glasses, goggles, just about anything you can imagine safety wise.

I take Zyrtec(wonder drug) for the allergies, I wear eye protection when using a trimmer, I wear framers gloves, and I wear hearing protection when using a blower.

I figure dust might have some nutritional value... someday it will be trendy to inhale dust, pollen, organic debris, etc....

I hear ya...
Two years ago I started wearing goggles. I found some in a Military surplus store. They were designed to be used while using a paintball gun. They did the trick. This year I switched to the same goggles I wear while riding my ATV. Scott makes them and they go for about 30-40 bucks. Your eyes will never feel better. I can mow all day long and my eyes are dust free.
Are they hot? Na...not really. :headphones: Make sure you get the adult size!

never thought of that - i think i'll blow $40 this weekend, i think it'll be well worth it!! thanks for the idea

Yeah, I'm late too Devilphrog but here goes.I don't wear a mask I was going to but the yard I really needed it on is the one where they have'nt paid me in two months etc.Gloves yes especially when trimming.I bought this pretty cool pair of goggles/safety glasses a while back.Their a little larger than swimming goggles ,can convert from goggles to glasses ,come in a variety of tints ,are supposed to be anti fog but they will fog sometimes ,are ANSI approved high impact and only cost $9.99.Their made by Pyramex their the VZG model. I got them at a safety supply store but with a little research I'm sure you can find them on the net.
