Well I have about 50% hearing loss in both ears due to collapsed ear drums. They are collapsed due to the ducts being closed that normaly let air it to equalize the pressure. I can hear and talk to people and do all my normal stuff but I will have people repeat themselfs quit often.

Last spring I had tubes put in that were suppose to last 1 1/2 years. When they were in my hearing went back to 100% normal and everything sounded so loud I could barely stand it. After about 2 weeks I started to get use to it again. Then suddenly I notice one ear started to get bad again. Went back for my check up and 1 tube was gone already. Went back 2 months later when the other ear started to get bad again and the other tube was gone. Now I am back to poor hearing. I just found out they now have a permanent tube that can only come out by being physicaly pulled out by a doctor. I guess I need to suck it up and have those put in. I hate needles with a passion. I can have a fence gouge a chunk of meat out of my arm but god i hate needles.

There is a guy in town who has a hook on his left arm. He drives the truck owns the business and mows with a walker. He sets his forward speed control all the way forward and controls speed with his right hand from there on out. I as amazed how smooth he was .

When the picture above was taken I was fine, now I have had a disc replacement in L5 S1, and L5 L4 and L4 L3 fused. 80% of the time I do paper work and line up new contracts. I no longer string trim, or us a ZTR, but I still ride a walk-behind with a velke. My legs help to reduce the shock to my back. Sometimes I go out with the crews and drive the truck, and supervise. Mostly I guess they are glad when I do paperwork, but I am just not ready to lay down yet.

I know a guy with a peg leg. He can't mow when its wet cause he sinks into the ground. He says he likes the peg cause he uses it to pick up leaves (kinda takes jabs at them and they stick to the peg). His worker has a half arm but he kills the wright sentar...its amazing.

I worked most of the summer with a bad back and sciatica. My L4,L5, is degenerated and they want to fuse them and I blew out my S1 and the gel in my disc was pressing on my nerve causing massive pain in my right leg but I pushed myself to finish my mowing season and then went on for surgery first week of January. And now ready to go back to work as soon as the weather breaks

i'm told i am crazy... does that count? seriously.. anyone that can do ANY job that is handicap has my full support and admiration. i mean they could sit around and choose to live off disablility but they take the initiative to work. hats off to any of them.
