when measuring for mulch how do you find the cubic yard? im not sure if it lengthx width x depth of mulch? also how much do you charge per yard deliverd and installed? thank you :weightlifter:

Brian, check here for mulch calculators and you need to figure out your price. Take the material cost, the labor or amount of time it's going to take to install it, with or without weeding and edging, your overhead and % of profit you wish or need to make. Mulch per yard installations around the country will vary by region and materials, but most will be between $45-$90 a yard. $65 seems to be very popular, but delivery and production costs can vary.

i charge $65 a yard installed for premium bark mulch and $70 a yard for premium black dyed mulch because of the price dif. as for delivery if you have a local nursery or mulch dealer find out how much they charge and charge the same or a little less I get mulch at a discount so my installation price includes delivery.

wow that the highest yard price i've seen. but then again I'm charge for edging and weeding seperatly.

i never tell the customer that. they call me, and i give them an estimate. usually the beds need weeding and edging, sometimes if it's all retaining walls i charge less because it is just dump and spread. I usually never have problems just give them a price. most dont even ask how much they will need.
