Whats My truck weigh?

I have a 1992 F250 XLT DIESEL, EXTENDED CAB, 4x4, and I have no idea how much it weighs. Where do I look? I know there is something on the door but I think it wore off.

Also, whats a ballpark figure on how much a new alternator would cost for the truck.

Your truck weighs 1 million pounds and 10 ounces :laugh:

Go take a load to the dump where they have a weigh scale its the only way your going to know the " actual curb weight" anything published on paper is way off.

Taking a guess your truck will weigh around 6500lbs.

Alternator prices will vary depending on the store and if its a quality rebuilt.

My '95 d2500 slt laramie 4-seat 2-door long bed with the 360 magnum weighs around 4,000 pounds, empty.
I'd have to guess yours is thereabouts as well, they're almost the same truck other than yours is diesel and ford.
Nice models, they are, I learned if you want loaded, get a dodge slt laramie or ford xlt lariat :)
Not sure what the chevy / gm line would be.

As for the tag on the door, this detail should also be on the vehicle's title, possibly the registration, I would check there.

Run it over a scale. I think the 92's run about 6200 LBS with that setup.

Can the old alt be rebuilt? I had the one on my pickup done 3 years ago was $52.00.

Not sure how much more the Powerstroke adds to the weight over an IDI, but my 96, 250 4x4 ext. cab tips the scales right around 7K, I think I had my big weathergaurd box on by the last time I went over the scales though, and it's packed, but either way I'd bet you're between 6500 and 7K pretty easy. Topsites obviously hasn't ever weighed his truck if he thinks the title is even close to a real-life curb weight. I think my title says my truck should weigh like 4800 or 5200 maybe. Far from the truth.

My GMC 3500 weighs 8000lbs. That's with a dump body. :weightlifter:

i think that's per axle, or i hope it is. cause i've been driving over one that says 3 tons max, and i hope it means per axle. cause with the 1 ton dually and a car trailer, i hit like 7 tons.
