It all pays fifty dollars a man hour or better and well I'd carry the wacker behind my back upside down for an extra 25 on the tab. When I worked for the guy who sold me my company I did it the fastest way possible, Running backwards. Now I own the company and I do it at my leisure.

I like to see where I'm going and not run into trees and what not. I just learned how to always walk forward, It's comfortable to me. I can basically use two different ways to trim all my stuff...and I'm sure your stuff.

i mainly walk backwards because of being able to get the most accurate / clean cut , ecspecially in heavy growth . then also when ive got the whipper upside down to edge you get the most clean cut backwards . but sometimes when ive got a long run with light grass i walk forward with the whip pointed away from my right side and holding it with just my right hand , thats the best way to expend as little energy as possible . while also moving fast . but in that posistion i cant get as accurate of a cut as i can backwards .

If you walk forwards trimming a chainlink fence the line will grab the fence and take a chunk out of the customers lawn.

not to get off the topic, last friday i was walking backwards with the backpack blower on, in the smallest property we have. The driveway has 3 cars potted plants and a wheel barrow full of sand that they had left over from doing patio blocks. My dam carpenter pants the part where the hammer goes, grabbed onto the handle and tipped over the full wheelbarrow.that was pretty embarrassing

Care to share some tips?
Quality line that does not fray.(Shakesphere or suffix ultra twist) . High powered Trimmer (Shindiawa T270) using a long single line. A long single line will deflect at high speed because of air resistance near obstacles, this reduces tendency to bite in, Also understand you have two axis to trim from, use this to your advantage. A single long line will also flex or roll at low RPMS in corners of a fence post .

man, i must be the only one who goes forward. I was to slow going backwards.
i was wondering if your left handed , maybe its easier for a lefthander to move that way with the counterclockwise spinning whip .

or maybe a bigger person who it would be more difficult for to move backwards as coordinatedly as an average size person .

its got me wondering how ide whip as a right hander if the whip spun clockwise .

I didn't know they had weed eatters, or grass in Az. Lol!
